Carpentry – Level 3 Course # (Delcastle) This course presents the essentials of exterior finishing, roofing applications, and reading information from working drawings. Topics also include framing with metal studs, drywall finishing, suspended ceilings, cabinet installation, and interior finish for windows, doors, floor and ceiling trim. Charter Oak Adult Education offers hands-on carpentry programs in cabinet making and a carpentry pre-apprentice through Southwest Carpenters Union. Becoming a union tradesperson can be a highly rewarding career. The benefits and pay are good and students are able to start their career at an early age, without the worry of student loan debt.
The entire program is hours. Certain Adult Education Centers do not offer all components of the program. Full completion of the program may be completed at a Technical College.
